| Welcome to the Elk Creeks Watershed Association. We are actively engaged in the preservation of the beauty and quality of two of our most significant natural resources - the Big Elk and Little Elk Creeks - and their surrounding lands. We are a diverse group of neighbors with a strong common goal of preserving the integrity of this watershed in the face of unprecedented growth and threat to its environment. These creeks flow through the farm land, old growth forests, serpentine barrens, housing developments, grassy fields, and even down towns of Chester County (PA), Cecil County (MD) before flowing directly into the Chesapeake Bay. The creeks and their watershed areas are home to a diverse population of fish, such as the endangered Mottled Sculpin and the well-traveled American Eel, a wide array of bird life, a number of rare plants, and a wide range of diverse and important ecosystems. We recently completed a major phase of our wetland restoration project at the Elk Ridge and Nottingham Schools in Oxford, PA. We need your help in order to keep this project going.
